What is Ugadi?
Ugadi or Yugadi is made using two different words, Yug (era) and Aadi (beginning) which means new beginnings. Ugadi or Yugadi (also known as Samvatsaradi) is the New Year’s Day for the people of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka in India. It is observed on the first day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar of Chaitra Masa (month).
