Varamahalakshmi Vratham is observed on the last Friday during Shravana Shukla Paksha and falls just few days ahead of Shravana Purnima.

Varalakshmi Vrat is suggested for both men and women. However, in South India, especially, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharastra, it is observed by married women only. It is also believed that Varalaxmi Vratam is observed by devotees to fulfill the worldly desires/pleasures like children, life partner, seeking luxury life, and other earthly pleasures.
